Dr. Caitlin Bletscher
Associate Professor, Washington State University
Dr. Bletscher is a Community Development Extension Specialist at WSU Vancouver in the Department of Human Development. Dr. Bletscher has taught courses in effective communication across difference, families in poverty, perspectives in human services, community development, international extension, and global citizenship. At the community level, Dr. Bletscher works alongside refugee and immigrant communities domestically and internationally, exploring social networks and systems that promote and inhibit access to resources to support individual and community well-being. Her research also includes student and faculty engagement, assessing student intercultural competencies, career readiness, and leadership skills through international education, innovative teaching, co-curricular programming, and community engaged learning.
Dr. Sarah Bush
Assistant Professor, University of Florida
Dr. Bush focuses her research on developing rural communities by examining community viability in relation to collaborative problem solving. Her additional research interests include youth leadership development, citizenship, cognitive and personality styles, and international workforce development.
Craig Davidson
Senior Lecturer, Scotland’s Rural College
Craig Davidson is an extensively experienced agricultural educator, currently serving as a Senior Lecturer and undergraduate Program Leader at Scotland's Rural College (SRUC) Edinburgh, following 14 years as a high school agriculture teacher in California. Holding Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Agriculture Education, he actively contributes to the sector as a UK external consultant, an SRUC Board of Trustees member, and an advocate for farm safety through the Farm Safety Foundation, all while fostering international university collaborations.
Mrs. Helen Martin
Senior Lecturer, University of Glasgow, Scotland
Mrs. Martin’s research interests include examining how formal /informal education impact the non standard student and the impact this has on local communities. Additionally, she focuses on exploring international collaborations and research projects looking at good practice examples of university /community civic engagement.
Dr. Alexis Nickols, MD.
General Surgery & Assistant Professor, University of Kentucky
Dr. Nickols is a Trauma and Acute Care Surgeon and an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Kentucky. Her research focuses on community- and societal-level drivers of violence and implementation of solutions that address social determinants of health. She prefers utilizing community-based participatory research methods whenever possible and believes that all communities should have a say in their futures.
Dr. Craig Talmage
Associate Professor, Hobart & William Smith Colleges
Dr. Talmage’s research focuses on community health and well-being as well as adaptations or shifts in social sectors.
Dr. Stacy Vincent
Department Chair & Professor, Texas A&M University
Dr. Vincent’s research focuses on cultural inclusion and multiculturalism within agricultural education. He is specifically interested in creating a pipeline for underserved students to obtain careers in agriculture and agricultural education.
Dr. Jeff Young
Director of Urban Extension - University of Kentucky
Dr. Young supports county and state Extension faculty and staff working to address the challenges facing our urban communities and Extension disaster response within Kentucky.
